Naruto 699 - THe New Hokage

In the fight, it was a total and complete naruto 699 and naruto 700 tie. In terms of what the goal was, Naruto won as he managed to make Sasuke see reason and change him. Anyone who says Naruto or Sasuke won the actual fight is full of crap trying to rile things up.
I mean, it's pretty much clear what Sasuke was talking about when he conceded. I have been disappointed with ninjutsu and giant attacks taking center stage in all major fights. To be fair, I wanted to chime in about this chapter because it finally got back to basics. I didn't love the chapter, but it moved in the right direction and was better than previous ones.

I liked seeing some taijutsu again, I don't know what happened when naruto fell with rasengan (looked like he either fell from exhaustion or tripped on a rock either way it was stupid). I'm not sure how bijuu cloak blocked amaterasu when bee had to create a clone of his bijuu to get away, the ten tails also recieved damage from it (mixed with naruto's attack) and the ten tails had to separate part of its body to alleviate its pain. I don't know why naruto wouldn't use the clones to distract and go into sage mode because it has no real cost, regenerates your body, and makes you much stronger. I thought it would have been interesting for naruto to end the fight with uzamaki barrage because he copied that from sasuke a long time ago, but that didn't happen. Obviously neither of them die of course so there really isn't that much suspense, but the chapter was better than usual lately.

I called it many chapters ago that the manga would end at ch 700, but darn, what would have been the harm to extend it to 710 or something and give the fans a decent series ending fight?

only if kishimoto would do a naruto gt the plot being guys like the land of iron who can't use jutsu realize chakra is dangerous because of the war and decides and finds away to take chakra away and use it for themselves then we can go back to our roots no more jutsu fights rock lee and tenten will become useful naruto can't use his nine tails powers and we'd have a nice reminder this show used to be amazing before it went complete dbz op route making all secondary characters useless
